Never complain about an uneventful day because the next one will change that for sure!
I again spent the day at Pacetti Bay Middle School talking to students about suicide and at the day's close I have shared my thoughts on perspective, perception and suicide with 24 classes in the last week and a half. Before I could even get to Pacetti Bay in teh morning however, I had to go in to teh office and get things together at about 6:15 so that I would have time to go by the church and drop off the plants that Tara's mom bought for the church. That's right, as soon as we get the trim painted we are going to start landscaping the place and soon it will look like a brand new church. It's our hope that more people's attention is drawn to the building and more people will come through our doors. Mainly because it seems that the people who have actually come through our doors have stayed, we have another family that has been for the past 2 weeks and talked to me about joining just last Sunday evening at the prayer service. So getting them there, and getting the word otu is our biggest plan of action right now.
After my day of Suicide talks I rushed to teh house to get my new books which I have been waiting for and work out. After that I did some reading then rushed the girls out to football for a while because they had to see everyone for a few minutes and tell the football players and watergirls that they are going to cheerleading camp. THat started last night at 5:30 so I went back over to football and then to pick them up from cheer camp at 7:00. They had a blast and P.J. was more than happy to do cheers all the way home from camp, and all the night long in teh bathtub, at the dinner table, on her way to bed, and even a few mumbled cheers in teh bed. I hope we haven't created a monster there, only time will tell. I also couldn't help but notice that there were about 6-8 girls in each group with 2 highschool cheerleaders coaching them, but P.J. seemed to have her own person and it wa 4 girls to 3 cheerleaders in her group, HMMMM I wonder why?
One of the new books I picked up is Gameday for the Glory of God by Stephen Altrogge a associate pastor to C.J. Muhaney my favorite pastor and writer in the whole world. It's an interesting book for anyone who is a believer and loves sports. It even says it is a guide for athletes, fans and wannabes which pretty much covers us all.
