bye bye, rain hello cold?

SO next time you are complaining about soggy, rainy days be more specific in what you wish for. THis cold is not for me, I like it cold don't get me wrong, but it's softball season and hitting, catching and throwing in the cold is not all that fun. It's only begun to get cold. We had our first official day of tryouts yesterday and we had enough girls to hold a complete practice. We do have some on the basketball team and others on the soccer team who will join us later so we are in good shape.
I had to leave practice at 5:00 on the dot and go start picking up kids so that youth can get going. We had a good group last night, we talked about Psalm 139 and it was well received. We started out by telling embarassing stories about ourselves. Everyone had a great time, and then we talked about the Psalmist asking GOd to search him and see if there is any offense in him even though God already knows. We talked about how God's love is not circumstancial, it's unwavering.
After youth we got everyone home, and then I was actually home by 8:30, I had some ice cream with the girls which I know is crazy in this cold, but that is their favorite dessert. We watched a little bit of American Idol, we shipped them off to bed, Tara and I worked on some paperwork and then we hit the hay ourselves.
Not all that much excitement to share, just another great day of serving the Lord!
Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!
