I started off this past week in rough shape. I got sick early Sunday morning, I woke up with my throat on fire and my body aching. I took some Ibuprofen and went to church. Got the church all opened up and set, got through the Sunday School hour with no problem, preached with little or no problem and even made a quick hospital visit after church. Went to my family's for some Easter lunch and egg hunting and then rushed off to the bed after I ran down around 1:30. I would stay there until mid morning on Monday. I got up felt sluggish, my throat again was raw and I felt nauseated. I threw up a few times but just stayed in bed with the chills(with the heat on in the house), and piled up under the covers.
Finally, Tuesday morning I made it to the doctor only to find out I had a 48 hour flu bug, and tacked on Strep throat with it. Got medicine and went back home. By WEdnesday I was going insane, driving myself crazy cooped up all day. Finally, WEdnesday night I ran off and did youth group(an awesome way to bounce back) and then went home and couldn't go to sleep. Thursday morning I went full bore, worked the full day and enjoyed it! Rushed straight to the highschool for some track and field then, had a double header softball game to help coach and announce at. Got home and felt like I hadn't even left the house.
I am recooperated, and more rejuvenated than I can recall. I am so ready for the weekend, a little racing, church and a whole lot of fun!
Thanks for reading and have an awesome weekend yourself!
