So I am in this house, it seems familiar to me, but strange at the same time. Champ, our bassett hound notices it too. It's eery feeling being in that house and finding complete silence. Each morning I find it when reading and praying, each evening I shut the door while the girls are in the bathtub and find it(well almost) but never is it unending silence. It's scary!
Yesterday I got the chance to finally go out to Pedro football practice and hang out with the kids some. It was great to be back out there and see all the work that is going on there. The kids are working really hard in the heat of the day during 2 a days. They practice from 9-11am and then from 12:30 to 2:30 each day. It doesn't get any hotter than that and they are out there running full speed like it's a fall evening. The defense looks better than ever, the offense is running smoothly and there are more running backs there right now than there have been the last 4 years combined. Things are looking up for Coach Keith Cromwell and I am excited about the season which starts officially on September 5th.
Last night I was going to go to a movie but ended up getting called to take care of some matters for someone. It was an example again of someone calling on me to be there for them in a time of need. Nothing seems to get me in gear more than being able to meet someone's needs on a spiritual and emotional level. That, I believe opens more doors to share the Gospel than any other outlet.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
